Thanks for the Memories

This card is extra special to me because of the thanksgiving I have for the person it was made for. In addition, I've been looking forward to using a banner in a project since it looks so cute and it is all the rage right now. I'm never "in style" so this is my closest attempt, lol. And it is the first time I machine stitched on paper! It was such a fun card to make using the Imagine.

Here's how I made it:
Imagine Yummy cartridge (banner cut at 1.3 in., patterned paper background)
Imagine Nursery Tails cartridge (tree cut at 4.3 in.)
Hero Arts stamps
twine and button
sewing machine
chalked edges
Smooch Spritz Vanilla Glimmer on tree

I also made this card with a few challenges in mind - the Cricut Circle Monthly Challenge (requiring a project with a banner), the Cricut Circle Weekly Challenge (3 of the same cut in a project and use of spray ink) and in the Pink Stamper challenge (make something Springy).

I've put off sewing on paper for lots of reasons but I love the look so I decided to drag out the old sewing machine and give it a try. After a few minutes of figuring out how to thread the machine and put in the bobbin, I was off to sewing. It was great - so easy! So, if you've been putting it off don't wait any longer!!

Thanks for taking a look at my card! I really do appreciate your comments and encouragement!!

Happy crafting!
